  New Action button replaces the mute switch... customizable, you say? YUP By default it's a mute switch, but it can also let you “Launch your favorite apps” or use Siri Shortcuts. I actually wasn't sure if they'd let you do that.

  Apple will ship a 3nm chip roughly a year before competing smartphone brands. They spent a good bit, possibly nearly all, of their increase in transistor budget to the GPU. Graphics and gaming will be primary beneficiaries. The 35 TOPS is spread across the NPU, GPU, CPU.

  iPhone 15 Pro gets USB 3 speeds: Up to 10 gigabits per second. Which means iPhone 15 is stuck at USB 2 speeds, same as lightning.

  Many will write about these upgrades less than favorably. That isn't fair or right. The 15 Pro is a solid upgrade. Materials and durability are the “bug fixing” of hardware and customers always say they just want new products that are the old ones but just with fewer bugs.

  Pro models add action button (as expected). Can use to to launch camera, flashlights or go to shortcuts which lets you do anything. It's a cool feature that over time users will learn to love.

  Titanium is beautiful. It also scratches really easily and is almost impossible to polish (unless you're a Japanese company named Seiko) so going brushed is a good idea.
