Sources detail Fidji Simo's moves at OpenAI, including spearheading the TBPN acquisition and pushing OpenAI to cut Sora and avoid other social media products

In recent weeks, Fidji Simo has burst into public view as the OpenAI executive bringing much-needed discipline to the AI startup …

OpenAI just bought TBPN 1) I doubt this is about the podcast itself as there is no reason for OpenAI to buy a tech podcast.  In addition, the TBPN podcast will now face new headwinds as they officially lose their independence.  For example, I'm skeptical Mark Zuckerberg will want to invite TBPN (i.e. OpenAI employees) to his events...

Considering how Apple held in-person events this morning (for Neo), I think we can say Neo got its own launch event - sort of.

Apple unveils the $599+ MacBook Neo, with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, an A18 Pro chip, side-firing speakers, a 1080p webcam, two USB-C ports, and Touch ID

Apple debuts a new entry-level MacBook at just the right time  —  Apple finally took the wraps off its long-rumored budget laptop.

One thing about the MacBook Neo video that jumps out at me is how often Apple simply says “Neo” instead of “MacBook Neo.” There were also a few “your Neo” mentions. The strategy doesn't work with “Pro” as it's too generic. “Air” doesn't work either. Apple looking to own “Neo.”
