Microsoft’s tooling and the arrival of OpenAI and Manus apps could deepen Windows’ role in that workflow, but severe patch cycles, exploit demonstrations, regulatory attention and institutional interest in Linux show that reliability, control and interoperability will determine how durable that position is.
