While the environment gains in the new Apple Watches are significant, there's no doubt these are the most minor Apple Watch refreshes to date with little to no reason to upgrade if you have a 2022 one. The double-tap also seems likely to be technically possible on older hardware.

The new Apple Watch line has the same pricing as existing line. Extremely difficult (impossible) for competitors to match on product and price. Largest competition remains non-consumption (those with bare wrists).

The feature to answer a call on Watch by tapping your fingers is called “double tap”. You can also play and pause music, snooze your phone and do there things. That is an example of an AI driven feature that they won't market as AI.

There's processing data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and other sensors to detect coming together to understand when you double tap your finger and thumb together twice ("Double tap") to press buttons in the air without touching the screen. Super handy tbh
