You have a choice now of iOS 16 or iOS 15.7. Not sure for how long, but it's nice to see the option. https://twitter.com/...

Challenge to Apple - include in iOS advisories in the future if Lockdown Mode would have prevented exploitation. https://twitter.com/...

The Apple Security Update page has been updated. Remember how Apple didn't release a security update for Big Sur & Catalina to patch CVE-2022-32894? 11.7 fixes the kernel issue. CVE-2022-32894 was actively exploited for 26 days in Big Sur, & Catalina will be forever vulnerable ht…

Apple's security response engine revved into high gear Monday with patches for security defects in a wide range of products, including fixes for a pair of critical macOS kernel vulnerabilities already being exploited in the wild. Story: https://www.securityweek.com/ ...

It's like it's asking me if I want to take the green pill or the red pill. Shall we, iOS 16? https://t.co/wW6Grs2IVB

iOS 16 is here and it comes with 400+ NEW features and changes! I think this might be the most complex, loaded iOS update ever.. 🤯 Here's everything new with iOS 16 & why you might want to install it: https://www.youtube.com/...

@pierce 🎉 “After weeks of using it and getting that gentle buzz every time I hit a key, I don't know how I ever just smashed my fingers onto motionless glass. I'm not sure it's made me a better typer, but it's a much more pleasant typing setup. ”

There's one recurring theme in my iOS 16 review: Customization is fun 📱✨ For this reason, the biggest - and most important - chapter is the Lock Screen one. I cover all the new personalization features in iOS 16 + lots of third-party widgets: https://www.macstories.net/... https:…

Wow. This is so dumb. The new iPad mini is an incredible device. Now, incredibly stunted. https://twitter.com/...

with iOS 16 now (almost) here, i'm reminded how silly it is that the iPad isn't getting any of the lock screen improvements that the iPhone got. widgets would be super useful, especially on an iPad mini, and there's so much more room for them. next year, i guess.

I reviewed iOS 16, which is full of good ideas about lock screens ... and also full of good ideas everybody else had five years ago https://www.theverge.com/...

Would be nice if one could downgrade a device to an older OS of one choose to. True on Android as well as iOS although Android does make it somewhat possible https://www.theverge.com/...

@MaxWinebach I am in the energy sector and this news confused me—at the scale of Macs, sure. And, if you consider the total fleet of iOS devices, yeah, small changes would add up. But tbh it mostly means plugging in during daylight hours, but our charging habits are mostly overni…

Two new announcements from Apple today: - iPhones in the U.S. will get a new Clean Energy Charging feature that optimizes charging times “for when the grid is using cleaner energy sources” with an iOS 16 update later this year. - AFib History is expanding to 100+ countries. https…
