This is only the beginning. Eventually, prices for all IT consumer products are going to rise sharply. [image]

@rsgnl It's not a price increase, you raised the floor or barrier to entry This seems like way more of a way to manage supply vs. demand, rather than trying to increase margin

To me, the Mac mini now starting at $799 instead of $599 is obviously a price increase. Sure, the 512GB configuration did not receive a price increase, but the Mac mini product line as a whole did. You can't buy a Mac mini for $599 anymore. This is very straightforward.

Fun fact: This officially makes the MacBook Neo the cheapest Mac in the lineup.

looks like apple has just increased the price of the Mac mini from $599 to $799. this is in USD, minimum storage is now 512gb instead of 256gb, and the delivery dates are still a full month or longer away. [image]

Apple using storage tiers as a clever disguise to cover ram price increases once again

This is still a really good value for what it is tbh but no more 256GB for $599 is unfortunate

Wow! I only expected this to happen with the launch of the M5 Mac mini, but Apple just went ahead and did it right now. This might be bad news for the M5 Mac mini release date. Would really suck if we had to wait until the Fall.
