Blockchain appears in the coverage as a crypto wallet and trading platform that expanded around payments, exchange access and asset custody. The strongest recent attention concentrates in 2025, when blockchain-related coverage became less about Blockchain’s own consumer products and more about the crypto assets and infrastructure surrounding U.S. policy. President Trump’s proposed strategic reserve named Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and Cardano; World Liberty Financial then unveiled the USD1 stablecoin on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana are now tied to reserve-policy discussions and U.S. GDP publication, while stablecoin activity links the technology to Trump-associated World Liberty Financial rather than solely to independent crypto platforms.

Why it matters

If this trajectory persists, blockchain coverage will be shaped increasingly by whether public institutions and regulated financial products can turn decentralized-network infrastructure into durable operational rails. That would raise the importance of security, custody and governance alongside adoption: the BigONE hot-wallet hack shows that expanded use does not remove the risks that earlier wallet and trading products were built to manage.
