TikTok confirms it has shut down access to Russian sites RT and Sputnik in Europe following requests from individual governments and the European Union

Facebook and TikTok said Monday that the companies would shut down access to Kremlin-controlled media sites RT and Sputnik in Europe, setting the stage for retaliation from Russia.

    That they need a governments around the world to plead with them to stop access to these propaganda outlets is stunningly ridiculous. This is an advertising and data mining company. They don't have any obligation to carry these outlets, nor should they.

    It ran a few fake personas posing as authors. They had fake profile pics (likely GAN), and unusually detailed public bios - e.g. former civil aviation engineer, hydrography expert. The op posted their articles on its websites and social media, & amplified them using more fakes.
