“House votes on controversial FISA ACT today.” This is the act that may have been used, with the help of the discredited and phony Dossier, to so badly surveil and abuse the Trump Campaign by the previous administration and others?

With that being said, I have personally directed the fix to the unmasking process since taking office and today's vote is about foreign surveillance of foreign bad guys on foreign land. We need it! Get smart!

55 House Democrats - including Pelosi, Hoyer, Schiff - voted to kill a surveillance reform bill that would have (among other things) added a warrant requirement to 702 searches. Full list of Dem ‘no’ votes: pic.twitter.com/gqX8C8KbqK

In a blow to civil liberties, the U.S. House voted 256-164 to re-authorize the @NSAgov's warrantless surveillance program without adding the much-needed privacy protections & transparency mandates we & our coalition support: http://www.nytimes.com/...

Disappointed the House just passed Nunes FISA Act reauthorization bill that will give Trump the power to spy on Americans without a warrant.

House votes 256-164 to expand Trump's warrantless surveillance powers for the next six years. The vote to reform warrantless searches of Americans' phone calls and e-mails failed, needing the support of 26 more. Dems could have swung it, but 55 of them voted with the Trump camp.

This is irresponsible, untrue, and frankly it endangers our national security. FISA is something the President should have known about long before he turned on Fox this morning. http://twitter.com/...

No American should have their right to privacy taken away! #FILIBUSTER

55 Democrats voted against your constitutional rights and opposed the USA RIGHTS amendment. Had 26 voted the other way, we would have won. Among them is Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. pic.twitter.com/7WHwPFGEIm

Rep. Amash amendment to add warrant requirement to U.S. queries of 702 data fails 183-233. 58 Republicans and 125 Democrats voted for it; 178 Republicans and 55 Democrats against it. Democrats could have swung the vote had they wanted to.

White House statement issued less than 12 hours ago: “The Administration urges the House to reject this amendment and preserve the useful role FISA's Section 702 authority plays in protecting American lives.” https://twitter.com/...

The longer it takes for Congress to conclude FISA debate which is now effectively settled, the harder it becomes to do every other thing w/ impeding deadlines. If Ds want to stick Rs w/ responsibility for a dysfunctional Congress (and they should) then it's time to be grown ups.

U.S. House passes 256-164 legislation to renew the NSA's warrantless surveillance program for six years with minimal changes, despite objections from privacy advocates and chaos caused by the president's morning tweets

.@RepAdamSchiff just recommended that the FISA bill be withdrawn for now, “in light of the irresponsible and inherently contradictory messages coming out of the White House today.” http://www.businessinsider.com/ ... pic.twitter.com/q6ENkHXooE

55 Democrats, including leaders Pelosi and Steny Hoyer, voted against the USA RIGHTS Act, which would've provided protections against domestic surveillance. If they voted for it with the majority of other Dems, it easily would've passed. http://clerk.house.gov/...

Thanks in large part to @NancyPelosi's support, the House just voted to authorize warrantless searches of Americans' phone calls and e-mails.

House votes to extend FISA 702 surveillance by 6 years, turning back a push to impose significant new privacy safeguards for Americans. Still has to go through Senate but this is probably the end of the cycle of debate that began with Snowden leaks in 2013 https://www.nytimes.com…

BREAKING: The House just approved the disastrous NSA surveillance extension bill that will allow for continued, unconstitutional surveillance that hurts the American people and violates our Fourth Amendment rights. The vote was 256-164.
  • @snowden Edward Snowden on x
The USA Rights Act was just voted down (with assistance from Dems, sadly). The vote on Trump's expanded warrantless surveillance bill is now imminent. This is your last chance to call Congress and tell them to vote “No” on the 702 FISA re-authorization. http://twitter.com/...

702 is a blank check to overzealous law enforcement officers who think they're secret agents, and civil libertarians have been screaming about it for years. Trump screwing with it by accident is the best thing he's ever done, possibly in his life https://twitter.com/...
