“Intel can stand on its own — the White House just wants to bridge the gap and help find anchor tenants, get to full fabs, profitability, and back to business.” I had the pleasure of being on @BBCWorld with @stevelai last night to talk about reports of the White House seeking an …

Ideally, Intel foundry can stand on its own by winning customers on technology merit.  Something, on paper, I believe is doable.  That said, should a gov. stake + PE (likely necessary) + majority held by Intel be the play, there has to be enforced tariffs that strongly encourage …

NEWS: Trump's administration is discussing buying a stake in Intel Corp. after Trump's meeting with the CEO this week, per sources. It would be a signal of support for the tech firm and its massive, but beleaguered, Ohio chip manufacturing project. https://www.bloomberg.com/...

Trump's embrace of socialism (state ownership or control of the means of production) is deeply concerning. Nvidia, U.S. Steel, MP Minerals, and now Intel. The Republican Party is helping bring socialism to America.

Reporters treating as a totally normal thing the US govt buying a direct stake in a private company not b/c they are at risk of bankruptcy (see GM) or critical to the world financial markets (Citi, etc.) but b/c it's “beleaguered” and their CEO buttered up Dear Leader. Insane.
