Okay I'm actually surprised here, but I have confirmed with a US creator I trust that the Black Myth Wukong guideline email is real. An extended conversation with an email tracing back to the company resulted in an actual code for the game. It's not some random google doc [image]

The Black Myth: Wukong guidelines for content creators have apparently leaked online. Streamers who agree to use a game key are not allowed to include politics, feminist propaganda, China's game industry policies or trigger words as COVID-19 & quarantine. https://www.resetera.com…

Probably, China accounts for 80+% of players where with a large game with localization in the region will account for maybe 25-40% - it's a testament what the region can do to shatter numbers when properly mobilised both regionally and internationally in one big launch.

A Wukong streaming policy is “no feminist propaganda” so looking forward to a streamer getting in trouble for saying “I think women should have rights”

black myth: wukong's anti-"feminist propaganda" streaming restrictions have prompted justifiable outcry, but on platforms like twitch, similar stipulations aren't all that uncommon, especially when it comes to sponsored streams/videos https://aftermath.site/... [image]

So I found the mother lode of all the evidence that Game Science, maker of Black Myth Wukong, is “super sexist.” The thread has comprehensive screenshots of all their supposed wrongs. I consider myself quite feminist, but I don't agree that these show anything but a group of
