This June 2016 test of four Broadwell-E parts, led by the Core i7-6950X, is AnandTech's baseline measurement of Intel's high-end desktop line before any real competition existed — at publication, the prosumer tier was unopposed, and Ian Cutress's numbers set the reference point every later halo chip would be judged against.
