Apple Card partnership with Goldman Sachs will be ending within the next year or so. Curious who the next partner will be, or if Apple will just give up

I bet you Apple Financial Services takes it over

Goldman sucks but Apple could do a lot worse partner-wise. Hoping the AMEX rumor turns up true.

Wow. The Apple Card was one of the best fintech launches ever. I suspect that it was never really a good deal for Goldman to begin with, & comes with a broader consolidation in their consumer book. Wonder who will step in!

Could it be that Goldman is forecasting a massive inability to pay and is trying to distance itself before it happens? They literally have all the card data.

Wow. The Apple Card was one of the best fintech launches ever. It was never really a good deal for Goldman to begin with (cost them >$1B), & comes with a broader consolidation in their consumer book. Wonder who will step in!

This is interesting - I always thought this move into financial services was an odd move for Apple

@KobeissiLetter I hope @Apple continues its service through another vendor. Our family almost exclusively uses @AppleCard for its security, privacy, budgeting, and savings features. We absolutely love the card. Would be sad to see the service end.

According to @WSJ Goldman Sachs is ending its relation with Apple. I would absolutely hate for Apple to cancel the Apple Card. It's the best credit card experience I've ever had 😔 Hopefully another company takes this over! Are you an Apple Card user? [image]

This deal was too good to be profitable. That's why I'm glad I did it, and made so much along the way. Prepare for more points and gimmicks to come to AppleCard... [image]

BREAKING: Apple is shutting down its credit card partnership with Goldman Sachs.  According to WSJ, the contract will be terminated within the next 12 to 15 months.  The exit will cover their ENTIRE consumer partnership which began in 2019.  This includes shutting down the saving…

If Goldman can't make a card work sitting on Apples infra - then nobody can. Surely not a fintech launching its own b2c cards.

Very curious to see what will become of the Apple Card. It's nothing special but very user friendly and virtual CC numbers are great. I had my info leaked and a fraudulent charge on my card, and over text I was able to get my number changed - all without needing a new card
