    It's really exciting to see Threadripper back!!! That said it feels like it should have launched 6 months ago and it's a shame the cheapest CPU is $1,500. If I was building today I would definitely consider a $999 16 core for the extra bandwidth and IO.

    AMD separates the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series into a HEDT and Pro platform. In case of HEDT the motherboard designs are much simpler and cheaper. According to AMD, there should be TRX50 boards that cost under 1,000 Euros. [image]
