Microsoft's choice of Copilot as a name for its GPT-based tooling makes a lot of sense. This isn't a path to AGI, it's a way to deliver accessibility and assistance tooling. Remember, Vinge's original frame of the Singularity was Intelligence Amplification: IA not AI.
