Very interesting choice by Google to make an animated cartoon around its TPU processing units. It's fascinating because it's the type of ad I could easily see running on TV, though it's a weird choice since it's not a consumer-friendly topic, unless Google wants it to be. Not [im…

Google Omni will focus on stronger genAI for YouTube, and I imagine a focus on YouTube Shorts, which is the fastest growing segment of YouTube's engagement. And I imagine it's not what people want from Shorts! They want humans doing dumb things or sharing tips. May work better

Ask YouTube (similar to Ask Maps) rolling out this summer. Basically AI Overview but for videos (long form and Shorts). Will effectively curate How To videos. But I'm curious how this will impact the way creators think about their SEO strategy on the tagging side.

Sundar Pichai at I/O says that YouTube is one of five Google products with more than three billion users, or about 37% of the global population.

At last year's #GoogleIO, we were processing 480 trillion tokens a month across our surfaces. Now, we're processing over 3.2 *quadrillion* tokens a month. That's a 7x increase in just a year. These tokens represent problems being solved — by a user or a developer or a [image]
