Tim Cook on iPhone in China: Greater China also grew 38% year over year, driven by iPhone, which had record upgraders and double digit growth on switchers. Double digit growth on switchers is a huge deal, and not good for Android brands

$AAPL is flat in after-hours because we are waiting on the guide. The goodness around just reported revenue and gross margin (reported 48.2% vs. 47.5% estimate) could be reversed. My sense is revenue guide will be positive. The Street is at 10% yy growth in March and they

Apple shares up just 1% after blowout sales. Investors likely waiting for commentary about spiking prices for components (DRAM, NAND, etc) and how that will impact margins.

My math suggests they beat iPhone estimates outside of China. * iPhone China likely grew at 38%. * That means that iPhone outside of China grew at 17% vs. the Street up 13%. $AAPL

Massive Apple revenue beat: $144 billion in overall revenue, $85 billion in iPhone revenue, $25.5 billion China revenue and $30 billion in services revenue. Tim Cook gets to keep his job!
