Who they are

NSO Group is an Israeli spyware maker whose Pegasus tools are central to coverage of mobile-device surveillance, especially attacks delivered through WhatsApp and targeting iPhones. The company appears chiefly as the defendant in legal actions by Meta/WhatsApp and Apple, and as a focal point in scrutiny of commercial spyware vendors and their customers’ targeting of journalists, human-rights defenders, and other users.
