Mr. Musk ordered immediate layoffs, fired executives by email, laid down product deadlines and has transformed the company.  —  SAN FRANCISCO — Elon Musk had a demand.

Everything that @elonmusk has done publicly so far to Twitter seems like exactly what I'd do if I wanted to ensure the entire platform ran straight into the ground, and fast. His actions and words make it really hard to see how this isn't actually his plan.

between the crypto meltdown and twitter imploding this week, sure has been a lot of this happening https://twitter.com/...

Musk feels like the Zack Snyder of tech: He gained control of a large, complex property he doesn't understand and fundamentally sort of hates, warping it into something that appeals exclusively to adolescents who think it's edgy.

Elon fans before: Elon will apply the First Amendment to let us contribute crucial concepts to the marketplace of ideas like how Jews are destroying us with the mud races Elon now: Elon is right to make parodies put “parody” in their name because otherwise it's a federal crime

Elon Musk told Twitter workers he's “pretty responsive on email” and usually replies “within hours.” This comes after he waited two weeks to send his first all-staff email and to host a company-wide Q&A. https://www.businessinsider.com/ ...

I haven't fully formulated this thought because I'm ripping mad, but all this week I've been unable to stop thinking of the 5 years I worked at TED Talks and how the wealthiest members of this society pump up the egos of men like Elon Musk and empower them to wreak havoc. https:/…

I think #1 reason en mass resignations could happen at @twitter is this one Musk shenanigans above *any* others from him: work-in-office directive. People (bosses) underestimate how world of work has changed & now that employees have seen alternatives, they won't *ever* go back.

He truly could have just coasted on a completely undeserved reputation as Real-Life Tony Stark for the rest of his days and instead he's gonna lose a zillion dollars so the Babylon Bee can tweet “Wife Identifies As Not Talking During Movie🤣”

Funny thing is if Elon wasn't on Twitter I'd probably to this day think he's an evil but very capable industrialist, but thanks to Twitter I know he's dumb as shit and just a product of a terrible economic system that rewards being a sociopath from old money over real ability

Can Elon Musk buy Fox News next
  • @buccocapital @buccocapital on x
I think the most embarrassing part of Elon buying Twitter - and there are a lot of embarrassing parts - is that he did it to solve problems pretty much only his account was experiencing

if twitter is going down, at least it will be worth remembering: the richest man in the world spending $44 billion to be so blinded by his own hubris he can't see the flaws in his plans while everyone constantly trolls him and parody accounts proliferate. it's beautiful.

It's hard to make any informed predictions because there's nothing rational happening with which to base them. Or to put it differently it's hard to analyze what an arrogant nutcase might do next. That said, here's a few things that might happen.

Closest I can think of is when Czar Alexander II's train derailed in 1888 and killed 23 people, because Alexander was drunkenly demanding the engineer go faster and when the guy explained that's not how trains work Alexander accused him of being a Jew https://twitter.com/...

That Eli Lilly prank changed the Twitter game: New goal isn't getting more and more people to laugh at terrible puns, it's getting Elon Musk sued by bigger and bigger multinational corporations until he files for bankruptcy.
