Our Discord servers were briefly exploited today. The team caught and addressed it quickly. About 200 ETH worth of NFTs appear to have been impacted. We are still investigating, but if you were impacted, email us at discord@yugalabs.io.

🚨BAYC & OtherSide discords got compromised‼️ Seems because Community Manager @BorisVagner got his account breached, which let the scammers execute their phishing attack. Over 145E in was stolen Proper permissions could prevent this https://twitter.com/...

Discord isn't working for web3 communities. We need a better platform that puts security first.

#CommunityAlert 🚨 We are seeing yet another compromised discord, this time @BoredApeYC. The phishing attack looks to be targeting #BAYC, #MAYC and @OthersideMeta holders. Stay vigilant out there! https://twitter.com/...

The @boredapeYC Discord server was hacked Saturday, with the attacker making off with 200 ETH ($360K) worth of NFTs, according to @yugalabs, which made the disclosure 11 hours after word of the exploit surfaced online. @elitanjourno reports https://www.coindesk.com/...

In all seriousness: Web3 boosters have spent over a year talking about how community management and moderation is central to their entire movement and, yet, they appear to have spent zero resources building secure and reliable spaces for their online communities. https://twitter.…

“Everyone loses all their money because a Discord server was compromised” seems a pretty critical systemic flaw. https://twitter.com/...

Since when are supposedly decentralized #NFT's reliant on centralized #Discord chat servers? Can someone explain what I am missing here? Is my desire to only build on top of truly decentralized, hard capped #Blockchain protocols inhibiting my crypto growth? 🤯 #DigiByte #Bitcoin h…

“Discord Server Hack” is definitely more cooler and sophisticated sounding than “community manager got social engineered into giving up the credentials” https://twitter.com/...

If someone is compromised through poor security or social engineering how is that Discord's fault? There are so many bots, plugins and solutions being built for Discord I don't see anything but growth of Discord being used for Web3 communities. What else is there that is close? h…

Or just a team that puts security first would suffice. https://twitter.com/...

the problem isn't discord, which was never meant to be a trusted product the problem is M3tam@sk https://twitter.com/...

So far I've seen them blame @ethereum for their drop, and now @discord for their security. If ape fest has issues, NYC gonna be to blame for sure. https://twitter.com/...

Area man who purchased “a unique digital image of a spiky-haired ape dressed in a spacesuit” says that a NFT company is the stupid one: “They don't really know what they're doing.” Ok Chris https://www.nytimes.com/... https://twitter.com/...

Now that we've hit the point in the crypto news cycle where we're being asked to feel bad for dudes who lost paper fortunes in this or that scam (e.g. https://www.nytimes.com/...) it's probably worth keeping in mind this passage from Maurer's classic THE BIG CON. https://twitter.…
