Amazon bought MGM for nearly $9 billion. What does that mean for MGM (and James Bond), what does it mean for Amazon, and what does it mean right now, with Amazon at the center of antitrust concerns? https://www.ign.com/...

Why Amazon is paying $9 billion for MGM and James Bond https://www.vox.com/... Thing I didn't get into in this story: One reason Amazon is buying now, after looking earlier, is that MGM has cleaned itself up, and isn't weighed down by long-term deals to other distributors.

Amazon buying MGM is at least complimentary to their existing business given Prime Video compared to AT&T + Warner Media or Verizon + Yahoo/AOL which weren't. Key question is if they'll raise price from $8.99/month or if this is just to stay competitive? https://www.cnbc.com/...
