Enough is enough. Amazon hosts Parler on @awscloud. As Amazon workers, we demand Amazon deny Parler services until it removes posts inciting violence, including at the Presidential inauguration. We cannot be complicit in more bloodshed and violent attacks on our democracy.

Like Twitter, Google, and FB, Amazon listened to its workers demanding that it not let business as usual proceed in the face of such threats to our safety and our democracy. As tech workers, we have and we will hold our companies accountable. https://www.cnbc.com/... @annierpalme…

...Other companies like Apple are now threatening to take action against Parler if it does not engage in the same censoring of viewpoints. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/ ... The calls for censorship have been growing from Democrats, but the recent riots has magnified those voices.

I don't disagree. The higher in the stack you are, the more leeway you should have on regulation. But the metaphor needs a clarification since there are other roads to the restaurant. Even on an iPhone you can still access Parler via browser. https://twitter.com/...

There needs to be a class action civilian lawsuit against Google and Apple. And we need to stop using their products. Trump needs to join Parler. Parler needs to get ready to drop a serious lawsuit. You cannot censor 75 million Americans. This is insane. https://twitter.com/...

Now Apple & Google are threatening to ban Parler to stop people from going to any alternative platform. They are creating a monopoly. They want NO IDEAS or CONVERSATIONS that they are not able to control. They do not want conservatives communicating with one another.

1. NEWS Apple has given Parler, the social network favored by conservatives and extremists, an ultimatum to implement a full moderation plan of its platform within the next 24 hours or face expulsion from the App store. @RMac18 @JohnPaczkowski report https://www.buzzfeednews.com/…

This is a genuinely huge development. If Apple starts to require certain content moderation plans as a condition of being in the app store, it could significantly change the ecosystem. https://twitter.com/...
