Apple launches the Apple One subscription bundle, with three tiers ranging from the $14.95 Individual tier to the $29.95 Premier tier

Starting at $14.95 a month  —  Apple One, a bundle combining services like Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, and Apple Arcade into one monthly subscription, is now available.

@charlesarthur Apple TV+ will eventually cost you something (at least that's Apple's plan). So you will eventually be paying the same price as Premier.

@natisho @neilcybart It won't be the same price - it'll be £2 cheaper split apart. Bundle more expensive, offering things I don't want.
  • @charlesarthur Charles Arthur on x
@neilcybart @natisho Yeah but it still works out cheaper not to get Premier, unless I wanted one of the other services. But I don't.

@charlesarthur @neilcybart Yeah, saw it just now. Interesting that the cloud storage price is lower in the UK. So basically you don't have any reason to upgrade to the bundle.

@charlesarthur @neilcybart Perhaps I'm mis-translating the US prices. $15 for Music + $10 for 2TB + $5 for TV+ gets you to the same price as the premier bundle.

I don't understand what I have to do to use 2TB on Apple One instead of my personal iCloud account, but it's still using my existing personal storage space for family sharing. There is no 2TB Apple One plan in this country, so it maxes out at 200GB? https://twitter.com/...

I currently don't know whether I have 4 TB or 2 TB of iCloud. I only want 2 TB but when I switched to One it didn't cancel my existing 2 TB so it went up to 4 TB and now I've manually downgraded my add on storage to zero in Settings and it still says 4 TB. So who knows.

Huh! Is it true? 4TB iCloud Storage is possible if you subscribe to Apple One? “You can purchase storage in addition to your 2TB Apple One plan” (Apple One is a pretty great deal for me since I already do 2TB storage, Arcade, Music, Ted Lasso+, and News+ for some reason) https://…

Apple One subscription procured. And you can choose what account to apply the iCloud storage to which is great for people with two accounts like me!

Random note, apparently Apple One does not cancel out your iCloud storage subscription, so I had 4TB available after upgrading to One. I cancelled my additional 2TB plan, and I'll just drop back down to 2TB total. NBD, but lucky I noticed 😬 https://twitter.com/...

What happens to your iCloud storage plan when you sign up for Apple One? Apple support document, (via ⁦@jackbrewster⁩) https://support.apple.com/...

Apple One Premier should not exist. For $120 *more* per year, you get: News+ (the worst Apple service and app), more iCloud storage (boring), and Fitness+ (but not yet, “soon"). And it confuses the offerings, making you to think about a thing designed to be “the ONE obvious plan”
  • @natisho Nati Shochat on x
@charlesarthur @neilcybart Once you'll need to pay for TV+ it'll be the same price, and you'll get some additional perks. And yes News+ is garbage.

Am I unusual in not getting benefit from Apple One? Have family on 2TB of iCloud storage, and family account for Apple Music, and (currently free) Apple TV+ acct. • “Family” tier of One doesn't have enough storage • “Premier” tier costs more than I pay. (And don't want News+.)
  • @glennf @glennf on x
I'm glad Apple introduced Apple One today, because my family has a Spotify plan, and given the CEO's defense of Rogan having Alex Jones on, I wanted to cancel. I can now shift to Apple Music as part of the Apple One bundle while getting a lot more...

lol Apple One, or shall I say JEmailContentType.generic.det https://twitter.com/...

Me looking at all the possible ways I could / have to subscribe to Apple Services and realizing that one possible future includes me just using Apple Music on Android. https://twitter.com/...

Is it weird I'm actually really pumped for Apple One? I already pay $15 for Music, $5 for Arcade, $5 for TV (in Feb), and $10 for iCloud. I'll save $5 just by signing up.
