  Not quite accurate to say no new emoji in 2021. There are no new *codepoints* for emoji in 2021, but Unicode can release ZWJ (or “compound") emoji midcycle, and vendors and add. Example is professional emoji 👩‍🍳👩 🏻‍🏫👩‍ 🌾 in 2016. https://www.theverge.com/... (👋🏽@ashleyrcarman)
