After more than a day of silence, Apple confirmed Thursday that the Mac, iPhone and iPad are all affected by the recently disclosed massive chip vulnerability.

What's fascinating is that Apple's homegrown, custom ARM CPU for the iPhone is affected by Meltdown, the issue that affects Intel x86 CPUs. This demonstrates how they have similar microarchitectures, despite different instruction sets. http://support.apple.com/...
