AT&T starts testing drones to provide LTE service in disaster areas or other locations without cell coverage

This test is the payoff of two years of groundwork: AT&T first worked with Intel on 4G LTE connectivity for drones to extend flight range and cut signal interference, then ran trials with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Flight platform to see how drones behave on live LTE networks.
