The Compute Card is Intel's second attempt at packaging a whole computer as an insertable module, after the HDMI-plugging Compute Stick launched in 2015 and got faster wireless and USB 3.0 in a pricier 2016 refresh. Where the Stick targets displays directly, the Card is designed to slot into all-in-one PCs, smart TVs, and other devices, with laptop-class CPU performance in a 94.5x55x5mm shell.

Full specifications were promised for June, and they arrived as Celeron N3450 and Core i5-7Y57 options with 4GB of RAM, shipping August at $140-$450. The arc ultimately closed when Intel confirmed it would not develop new Compute Card products in 2019.
