Jensen Huang tells the FT: “China is going to win the AI race.” These are the Nvidia's CEO starkest comments on the AI race to date. In April he told me “China is right behind us. We're very, very close.”

If Jensen Huang is so worried about China winning races, why doesn't he immediately invest $50 billion in a domestic mine-to-magnet supply chain?

This should scare you, not because China will win the AI race, as NVDIA CEO Jensen wants you to belive, but because something sinister is lurking, and in the shadows a bubble is about to pop. The revolving money pit will be a story of the ages. Someone is left on the hook. I

The fact that Jensen and Sam are throwing a hissy fit demanding more and more throttle after we've been driving this car at 250mph nonstop for three years now... Something is very off about it all

Ah yes, China is going to build a chatbot that's so good at chatting it will outchat even the chattiest American chatbots. We really need to stop calling chatbots AI. This is getting ridiculous.

What's the political (as in actual politics or his own company's interests) rationale for why Jensen would say that?

@conorsen He said that he likes how the Chinese are subsidizing energy for data centers. Also, claiming they will “win” anyway undermines the case for export controls (so they can sell more to China). Both points made in the article: https://www.ft.com/...

I see the scam already. OpenAI says they need government backed loans to keep growing. And then NVDA then says China is a threat so the govt should do something. My money is on Microsoft, AMD, Oracle and others who have agreements with OpenAI saying something similar.

There is no AI race because nobody can define AI. It's literally just a classy way to make heat. The US needs to get back to what made it truly great: Poaching top human intelligence by offering freedom and a shot at riches.

And Jensen is helping: why do you think he told the FT China is winning the AI race? It's to force the Trump admin to backstop the 3 main circle jerk players so they all have unlimited taxpayer funds.

It's been interesting to see the China envy among bastions of free market capitalism. — (Though I think they want China-style government spending on industry priorities minus China-style regulation.) www.ft.com/content/5329... [image]
