An interesting note is that the robotaxis slammed their brakes when driving by police cars which probably comes from their training data from human drivers doing that in Teslas.  —  A good example of how AI is only as smart as its training data.

Tesla's robotaxi service has officially launched.  Although it's a somewhat limited launch.  —  It's available to Early Access users in a small area of Austin, Texas and requires a Tesla employee in the passenger seat to monitor the ride.  —  Initial customers said the ride is “s…

Our approach to autonomy also enables scalability: Tesla self-driving can be deployed anywhere it's approved. It does not require expensive, specialized equipment or extensive mapping of service areas. It just works

Even the Dutch media that did report on the Tesla Robotaxi launch are speaking positively, so it must be a massive success! My grandfather told me 25 years ago that one day cars wouldn't need a driver. Now, ‘normal’ looking cars are cruising around Austin with no one behind the […

BREAKING: I'm hearing reports Waymo is shook by Tesla's Robotaxi launch. The company is panicking about the level of innovation and currently looking to copy Tesla by designing a kill switch in the passenger door button and adding Waymo supervisors in their rides. [image]

The best tech feels like magic because it's so normal you don't even notice it... until you do. Took a ride in a Tesla Robotaxi today. In this clip, it pulls aside on a narrow street with construction, making room for an oncoming car that illegally turns into our lane. The [video…

My thoughts after 3 Robotaxi rides: - Very smooth and comfortable. Similar to existing Tesla cars with FSD. - App UI is intuitive but can use a couple upgrades (placing a pin anywhere, change trip while in car) - It is completely and totally surreal. As a Tesla owner and

Turns out @tesla has to certify their FSD as a Level 4 with the state of Texas before September 1st 2025 - or they have to take their ‘cybertaxis’ off the road. 😂 Thank you @GregAbbott_TX for signing this bill yesterday. 🙏 Keep Texans safe!
