Nvidia says the RTX 5090 has 92B transistors, 32GB of GDDR7 VRAM, 4,000 AI TOPS, and DLSS 4, which can use AI to generate up to three frames per rendered frame
As anticipated, Nvidia Monday kicked off its CES 2025 keynote by unveiling the new RTX Blackwell family of GPUs.

Ok Nividia, I don't think telling people your $1999 graphics card plays games from 2020 in LESS than 50 FPS is the flex you think it is. — I added a line, so you can figure out rough framerates, chart is from www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc... [image]

Y'all expecting RTX 5090, cool specs and stuff. But do you fully internalize what Jensen said about graphics? That the new card uses neural nets to generate 90+% of the pixels for your games? Traditional ray-tracing algorithms only render ~10%, kind of a “rough sketch”, and then …

it's really neat that DLSS 4 is going to improve DLSS for all RTX GPUs, not just the RTX 50-series. The Frame Generation model is even getting better performance and less VRAM usage on RTX 40-series and RTX 50-series cards https://www.theverge.com/... [image]

DLSS 4.0 is a headliner today. An amazing scoop from my book, THE NVIDIA WAY, is how Jensen invented DLSS on the fly in his head during an internal business meeting. Several Nvidia employees told me they were blown away that he was able to do that, and when I asked Jensen about […

.@nvidia RTX 5000 series starts at $549 with the RTX 5070 and up to $1,999 for the 5090. However, the earlier slide did claim 4,000 TOPS so we can probably expect a 5090 Ti down the road. #CES2025 [image]
