Although main news is out, here are my summary & detailed #blog of #qcomarm trial - The final day of the trial was a slow-moving soap opera, most of the day with a nail-biting finish that brought victory to @Qualcomm - The day started slow, with the Jury resuming deliberations [i…

And that is that...Qualcomm prevails in legal battle with Arm. $QCOM found not to be in breach of Nuvia's license agreement with Arm. The entire case and jury decision happened quickly on this one—all in less than a week. There is a chance that this could be back in court

This @Qualcomm win relieved not only the company's nerves but also of thousands of @Arm licensees, especially the one with architecture license, i.e., #ALA . Those include @Apple, @NXP, @Infineon, @TXInstruments, @ST_World, @MicrochipTech, @Broadcom, @nvidia, @MediaTek,

Now that the jury has decided on 2/3 of the claims they brought and is undecided on Nuvia's breach of it's ALA with Arm. I believe that @Qualcomm was always in the right on this case and that @Arm was overextending. I think Arm might have had an easier time if it was seeking so…

While this leaves a cloud over Nuvia, the wholly-owned subsidiary of @Qualcomm, it allows Qualcomm to move forward. It will be up to @Arm to decide if it's worth moving forward with litigation against Nuvia.

This just in: @Qualcomm is officially licensed to carry! Jury wasn't fooled by @Arm's bogus lawsuit. So @Snapdragon Elite class of CPUs are still the king of the Arm hill. Shameful that Arm was willing to take down its customer and partner over this. Shameful.

This seems positive for @Qualcomm ... Pure speculation here... If they have decided on the other two, them #qcom might be in the clear, but sure yet, since it is the contract that Nuvia signed, whether they are in the clear or not... Again pure speculation... We willsee Also,

Enough discussion & debate before the verdict. @Arm arguing not to accept Q1 & Q2 verdicts, because Q1 Q2 are related. Back and forth on the validity of the precedence. @Arm even sucgested to bring the jury back on Monday. But, finally Judge was not convinced, and accepted it

@MyTechMusings ... The big takeaway for me would be to understand how this trial could set a precedent (or not)for all the other silicon vendors out there. If Qcom will win then ARM will loose a lot of negotiation power in future, weakening ARM dominance-just my interpretation
