Meta tests letting Threads users see metrics for their individual posts, including views, likes, and replies, as part of changes to Threads' Insights feature

7, 14, 30 or 90 days.  Some of you will now see your top posts ranked by views and interactions (likes, replies, reposts and quotes). Lance Ulanoff / @lanceulanoff : Some cool “how'm I doin?'” stuff from Threads

Context & Ripple Effects

Threads had already added a chronological Following feed and made reposts more visible through a dedicated profile tab and feed treatment. Those changes gave people more ways to distribute and consume posts; post-level measurement gives creators feedback on which of those interactions are working.

The test extends Insights from aggregate account reporting toward a creator-facing view of individual content performance, including both reach and engagement signals.

First-order effects

  • Threads users included in the test can inspect views and interactions on individual posts and identify top-performing posts across selected time windows.
  • Meta gains a more explicit feedback surface inside Threads Insights, while creators can distinguish posts that generate attention from those that prompt replies, reposts, or quotes.

Second-order effects

  • Creators and social-media managers can use the new breakdown to adjust posting formats, topics, and distribution tactics around the interactions Threads exposes.
  • Making reposts and quotes measurable reinforces the value of features Meta had already made more prominent in Threads, potentially encouraging content designed to travel beyond a creator's direct followers.

Third-order effects

  • If broadly deployed, per-post analytics would move Threads closer to the standard creator toolset expected of platforms competing for regular publishing activity.
  • The feature also makes ranking outcomes more legible to users, a direction that could complement later visibility explanations such as Account Status on Threads; metrics alone, however, do not explain why a post was distributed or limited.

The trend: Threads is building the feedback, distribution, and transparency tools that turn a social feed into a more deliberate creator-publishing platform.
