Partnership makes a lot of sense. Overton window is shifting. Maintaining American might is actually reducing existential risk ( Thucydides trap). Important to have the best AI systems deployed to keep us safe, IMO. Does seem like quite the brand drift from inception for OAI.

NEW: OpenAI is partnering with Anduril on using its technology to detect and respond to unmanned drone threats against the US military, in its biggest push yet into the defense sector. From me and @lizette_chapman gift link: https://www.bloomberg.com/...

Overwhelmed by the number of organizations working on “artificial general intelligence” to “benefit all of humanity.” OpenAI, Anthropic and their likes with their billions saving all of us one military contract at a time. Bonus, OpenAI did this while paying zero in taxes.
