A source describes the failed Pentagon-Anthropic talks: through the end, the Pentagon wanted to use Anthropic's AI to analyze bulk data collected from Americans

Right up until the moment that Pete Hegseth moved to terminate the government's relationship with the AI company Anthropic …

Embarrassing for Anthropic to incorrectly describe static analysis in their Claude Code Security announcement. Security and formal methods engineers already have data “reasoning” tools, this isn't the bottleneck, false positives, which LLMs absolutely have, is.

Was happy to speak to MIT TR on the use of LLMs for military “sentiment” analysis.  Besides LLM “hallucinations”, the data sources used are prone to manipulation that can directly influence an AI's output used to make sensitive and escalatory determinations.  —  www.technologyreview.com/2025/04/11/ 1...

This is exactly what I mean when I say that the use of AI in the military is no different from indiscriminate bombing (or worse). To exploit the bias embedded within these systems, to then subsequently execute thousands of families based on these very biases, is beyond immoral.

We're finally revealing a significant co-resident GPU vulnerability impacting AMD, Apple, Qualcomm, and Imagination GPUs that allows an attacker to listen into another user's LLM (e.g., llama.cpp) session across process and container boundaries!

Researchers describe a GPU vulnerability that allows attackers to exfiltrate data from local memory on some devices with Apple, Qualcomm, AMD, and other chips

Patching every device affected by the LeftoverLocals vulnerability—which includes some iPhones, iPads, and Macs—may prove difficult.

This vulnerability was found by the talented @Tyler_UCSC and highlights the unknown security posture of the ML stack (i.e., GPUs) and the increased attack surfaces faced when deploying LLMs and ML models. Read the feature from Wired here: https://www.wired.com/...
