Bonkers CPU power (new baseline set with M4 Pro) may open up the possibility of future bigger-screened Pro-tier Mac(Books) running binned chips with a $200US or so savings vs. unbinned tiers. $2299-ish MBP16.2 with MBP14.2 binned M-Pro chip may be something Apple's considering?

M4 Pro chip is the only M-series chip that did not get a standalone press release on the Apple Newsroom. It was in the Mac mini PR. I wonder if there will still be a standalone M4 Pro and M4 Max press release today? (Even though most M4 Pro details would be redundant.)

As predicted, the M4 Pro chip is the star of the show this generation. Looks like the M4 Max has the same exact configuration of 16 CPU cores lol, while the M4 Pro get 4 extra Performance cores. This is the YEAR of the M4 Pro! [image]
