World of Warcraft workers have voted to unionize the popular video-game franchise, expanding organized labor's new foothold at Microsoft Corp. by around 500 employees.

Microsoft now has 1,750 unionized employees in its gaming division which now spans all of the artists, developers, QA testers and others working on Fall Out, Elder Scrolls and now World of Warcraft. The equal and opposite reaction to mass layoffs at profitable big techs is here. …

INCREDIBLE to hear about Blizzard's World of Warcraft team unionizing. These first few major US studios to take the step into unionizing are such important moments: as conditions for these teams are slowly forced to improve, other studios in the country will want to follow.
