OpenAI just wrote a long post delaying their Voice mode update to July. Between this and Anthropic's blockbuster Sonnet 3.5 launch, OpenAI is struggling to maintain its crown.

OpenAI's new Voice Mode doesn't sound like it's off to a great start. It's now been delayed because it couldn't “refuse certain content” or work quickly at scale. Oh and it did also include a voice that sounded a lot like Scarlett Johansson, despite her refusal to work with the

Very disappointing! Hyping up GPT-4o voice, then delaying until fall? Well, we got alternatives to Sora and something better than GPT-4 already, chances are we'll get some for voice before then, too. OpenAI (sic) seems to be dropping their balls... 👎
