Terminated worker here. Listen when employers tell you exactly who they are McCarthyism is alive and well. Look how terrified they are of worker power 🔥 Solidarity always ✊ we'll keep us safe when we fight together

You'll lose your jobs and we'll all forget this happened in a few weeks, like that guy who set himself on fire for Ukraine

Google is terrified of us. @Google is terrified of workers calling for accountability and transparency from our bosses. These mass, illegal firings will not stop us. They only fuel the organic growth of this movement. #NimbusNine #GoogleworkersFired

Between the Meta leak on how Israel's AI death machine relies on WhatsApp data, to this from Google. Unbelievable.

Not exactly shocking. If the company doesn't align with your values and refuses to change, there are two way to protest, this, or resigning in protest. The former seems pretty self serving and it doesn't make any sense for the company to tolerate it.

@byJuliaLove One detail that might fly under the radar but that I find really striking: some workers involved in the protests rallied or passed out flyers outside, and never went into the office buildings. Google still identified them somehow and fired them, employees tell us. [i…

Google fires 28 employees involved in sit-in protest over $1.2B Israel contract They badged into work but wore masks for their protest to hide their identities. Googlers' average IQ score just skyrocketed! https://nypost.com/...

Google is a business If you work there, you have an obligation to your fellow shareholders, teammates, & customers You're being *highly* compensated to do a *job* The workplace is not a platform to express your political beliefs; it's a place to do your best work. Bravo! 👏

Nine Google, $GOOGL, workers have been arrested after staging a sit-in protest at the company's offices in New York and Sunnyvale, California, including a livestreamed sit-in at Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian's office, per CNBC. $GOOG has also fired the 28 employees. [image]

“If you're one of the few who are tempted to think we're going to overlook conduct that violates our policies, think again.” May the spark turn into a 🔥. $GOOG finding its voice, getting fit, & re-claiming its soul will be a good thing. 🙏🏼🚀@sundarpichai [image]

We are witnessing a free speech crisis in this country. If you speak out against genocide in Gaza, you risk being fired, expelled, arrested, evicted. Companies, colleges, and governments are working together to crush any opposition to israel's mass slaughter. We cannot let them.

As a general rule, no CEO should allow the hiring of any employee who was arrested by law enforcement literally in the office at their previous job. This is such an obvious risk for future problems.

It just hurts so much to see all the good people demonized and punished and all the very very bad people getting all the bad things they want. My sense that there is any justice in the world feels like a childish, naive, privileged thing to have ever had.
