    NEW: Apple today informed me that it retested the batteries in all four iPhone 15 models and found they can retain 80% of their original capacity at 1,000 complete charge cycles under ideal conditions, compared to the 500 charge cycles it advertises for all older iPhone models.  …

    I can confirm, my 15 Pro Max is still at 100% capacity. I've been using the 80% Limit frequently as well but I am also not shying away from charging it up to 100% also regularly when needed. Good job @Apple way to go to redeem yourselves after the 14 Pro Max battery gates!!!

    To be clear, I'm not ruling out iPhone 15 battery lifespan improvements. I'm saying Apple could have waited until it finished investigating older iPhone models and released the data all at once. I suspect there will be improvements across the board based on the retest parameters.
