Based on the Fold teaser & the Tablet stuff we know about Google is preparing to position themselves as the innovators beyond the glass slabs of devices. I suspect we will also hear more about AI and Google Assistant. All at a time when Apple hardware sales aren't impressive.
I've had a couple of the Samsung foldy phones to review & my main objection to them (apart from the price) is that they're just a bit shit as a phone because they're rather thick to hold in folded mode with one hand. Also, the camera on the Sammys was a bit sub-par for the price
A buddy of mine ran into a Google engineer who was using a Pixel Fold and the engineer let him open it The phone doesn't fold open 100% flat It's like 175 degrees. He said it felt like it would break if he folded all the way open
But it's more fun to vent so: To be clear: the bezels would look better if they were fully symmetrical. I will celebrate when Google achieves that. But there are SO. MANY. MORE. IMPORTANT. THINGS. to talk about when it comes to Google's first foldable! Jesus.
