Amid the initial bank failures in the U.S., the tech entrepreneur in mid-March had bet $1 million that bitcoin would hit $1 million within 90 days.

I JUST BURNED A MILLION TO TELL YOU THEY'RE PRINTING TRILLIONS The million dollar bet is now closed out by mutual agreement. I made $1M+ in provable on-chain donations, which you can verify by clicking the links below: 1) $500k to Bitcoin Core development via Chaincode:... https:…

Prior to the bet between @jdcmedlock and @balaji, I was open to the idea of hyperinflation risk. But after seeing how convincingly Medlock won the bet, I think his side is the correct one.

I can finally say it: I settled the bet early with @balajis! Took some time to work out the details but he proceeded in good faith and you can see the receipt of funds on chain in the next tweet. $500k to me (so I get 30% post tax as planned) and 500k to @GiveDirectly

Catastrophists aren't always wrong, just 99%+ of the time @balajis points out a number of challenging issues, but all of them are surmountable if we control spending & technology continues to bail us out with massive efficiency gains https://twitter.com/...

From @balajis, who has rung a fire alarm on The Fiat Crisis: “There aren't enough healthy sectors to bail out the failing sectors. Too many things are failing at once. Specifically, we have an economic polycrisis...” For those who like to be prepared. https://balajis.com/fiat/

Balaji Srinivasan bet $1 million that the US economy would go into hyperinflation by this June. He was completely, utterly wrong. So he has settled the bet and released a video insisting that akshually in the broader sense wasn't he kinda right though? https://balajis.com/fiat/

brother @balajis... you didn't need to spend $1.5 million to do a Medium post about the Federal Reserve. I would have helped you do this for only $1,495,000 https://balajis.com/fiat/

“Of course, the idea that the system will fail at any moment has been the permabear position for the last 15 years.” Balaji understating how long the catastrophists have been operating, and how smoothly goldbug arguments became cryptobug ones. https://balajis.com/fiat/

As usual, @balajis is super fun at parties :) . But he says some very interesting things in the video. Take note https://twitter.com/...
