NPR decides to “no longer be active on Twitter” after the platform took “actions that undermine our credibility” by implying NPR is not editorially independent

The broadcaster said that the label undermined its credibility “by falsely implying that we are not editorially independent.”

    What a strange place the UK is.  When the BBC got all upset when Twitter labelled it as being government funded, the outcome was a deal where Twitter changed label in exchange for a Musk interview and publicity which the BBC place as their top story.

    I don't know if the emerald mine stuff shows Musk's generational wealth, as some allege, and who knows what his dad gave him given their relationship. But what it does show is Musk's bending of the truth. What he said on the space is incompatible with what he said in 2014.

    Musk is going to his talking points and speaking on how Twitter emphasizes “unregretted user minutes.” It may sound nice for bankers and advertisers, but how does Twitter measure that metric? Is the co doing user research? Because it fired many of the folks who used to do that.
