  @waltmossberg @Apple I met Katie when she was working first for Gil Amelio then for Steve Jobs. She was always a champion of all things Apple. We had some memorable exchanges over the years, and I will remember her as a professional who was passionate about the work she did.

  The women who obtained exec roles at these tech co's back in the 1990s (or even 2000s), prob made a lot of compromises (cld you imagine running PR for Jobs?!), but their success paved the way for many of us later. Even if I don't agree w/ their tactics, I respect their audacity.
