Sources: Apple is testing four AI glasses designs with rectangular and oval frames, multiple colors, and a camera system with vertically oriented oval lenses

Also: The latest on the foldable iPhone.  —  Apple is working on several frame styles and a unique camera design for its first smart glasses.

“Consumers don't want this,” one of the repies to @markgurman said this morning in response to his post about Apple's glasses plans.  Now this is something I've actually studied deeply, doing consumer research in many places around the world while writing two books about spatial computing that I did over the past decade... This is what people never get going into a paradigm shift.  People change their beliefs when a new product finally gets there that can do something dramatically better than the way we do things today... It's why I don't get all excited for glasses.  I see them as inevitable.  They will give humans super powers they can't really understand today.

Even my AI is giving Microsoft shit at https://alignednews.com/ai It writes: Claude is now natively in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. That is 450 million users. Microsoft spent $13 billion building Copilot. They own 27% of OpenAI. And somehow Anthropic just walked into their house

I interviewed @sama when he started his first company. Years before anyone knew who he was. He was gracious, caring, and smart. The video we did in a Half Moon Bay Mexican restaurant is up on YouTube. I have had my problems with how he did some things. And I am sure he could

@sama Your service gives me, my family, and friends a lot of joy. Hope it is returned 100 times. The people who take things to violence are just wrong and should spend many years in jail.

It is true. Back then Twitter overly pushed big accounts. Since taking over X has been playing up smaller accounts a lot more. I see it in the tech world which has very little to do with politics. Although a group did leave due to that.

EFF says it is leaving X, as “X is no longer where the fight is happening” and an X post now gets less than 3% of the views a tweet got seven years ago

After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X. This isn't a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue.

After building with bleeding edge AI I get this separation that @karpathy lays out deeply. Family and friends have no idea how good the bleeding edge is. Completely uneducated about AI.

X limits X Pro access to subscribers of the $40/month Premium+ plan without notifying users in advance; it was previously available in the $8/month Premium plan

Social network X is now limiting X Pro access to customers who subscribe to the X Premium+ plan, which is priced at $40 per month (or $33/month when paid annually).

I bet this is to keep people from scraping X with their OpenClaw machines and protecting the X API business model, which is what I'm using to get all posts from X to run my AI. Still takes away a major feature of X Premium.

I'm seeing a lot of disbelief of Meta's purchase of @moltbook.  Several “WTF” posts from people here.  Let me tell you about how Zuckerberg looks at the world.  He has an ad network that drives all of Meta's revenues and profits.  Advertising needs one thing to be highly profitable: distribution...A social network for AI agents...will be how robots, robotaxis, glasses, brain-computer interfaces, and trillions of AI agents talk to each other, and to our businesses.  Hugely important.  Everyone who owns an advertising network (Google, @elonmusk, Snap, and even Apple will have to build the same)...
