OpenAI launches ChatGPT Plus, a pilot plan with access in peak times, faster response times, and priority access to new features, in the US for $20 per month

and it has Google in its sights Preethi Cheguri / Analytics Insight : OpenAI Announces New Subscription Plan for ChatGPT Plus Marcus Gopolang Moloko / Gearburn : Here's why OpenAI will charge for priority access to Chat GPT The Economic Times : OpenAI launches ChatGPT Plus for $20 a month with more features Mitchell Clark / The Verge : OpenAI announces ChatGPT Plus at $20 a month Roger Montti / Search Engine Journal : Response to ChatGPT $20 Plan: Take My Money! TechCircle : ChatGPT now available in $20/month subscription, to offer ‘priority access’ Steve Muchoki / Coinspeaker : OpenAI Launches Pilot Subscription Plan ChatGPT Plus Starting at $20 Per Month Martin Brinkmann / gHacks Technology News : ChatGPT Plus subscription is now available Mastodon: Michelle Manafy / @michellemanafy@journa.host : Well, that didn't take long.  Even as the product is clearly half baked, they've introduced a “premium version” of ChatGPT which must have been named by AI because it is so derivative. … Tweets: @openai : We are piloting ChatGPT Plus, a subscription plan that offers faster response times and reliability during peak hours. And of course, the free tier of ChatGPT is still available. https://openai.com/... Greg Brockman / @gdb : We're piloting ChatGPT Plus, a $20/mo subscription for faster response times and reliability during peak hours: https://openai.com/... Luca Belli / @1lucabelli : Something I have been stressing in all #ChatGPT related conversations so far is that we - falsely - assume that ChatGPT will always be “freely” available to everyone. Given the highly foreseeable update below (no one invests billions for no return)... https://openai.com/... Luciana Benotti / @lucianabenotti : They payed crowdworkers in poor countries very little so as “not to disrupt the economy”. Guess whether they offer differential rates to these same countries now ... https://twitter.com/... Ayesha Razzaque / @razzaque_ayesha : Access to ChatGPT was a little unpredictable up to this point, but no more (if you are willing to subscribe to the ChatGPT Plus tier of the service) @ $20/ month - almost as much as the Netflix Premium subscription in the US https://twitter.com/... Max Woolf / @minimaxir : Given the amount of people programmatically using ChatGPT (which technically you aren't *supposed* to do), I'm surprised OpenAI is starting with an all-you-can-eat subscription and not offering an API for it, even if it would compete with GPT-3 text-davinci-003. https://twitter.com/... @openai : We'll begin to invite people from the waitlist and will broaden availability beyond the US soon. Earlier last week there was a mistaken launch of ChatGPT Pro for $42/mo where some people were able to sign up and pay, but the link got removed very shortly after. Now we have official news from OpenAI that pricing will be $20/mo for ChatGPT Pro.
