Nvidia says it plans to bring DLSS 5 to older RTX 40-series GPUs “once RTX 50 Series performance is more fully tuned”

    DLSS 5 will also be coming to the RTX 40 series! Given in March this was running on 2 RTX 5090s, it makes sense they can optimize the model or make a more efficient one for RTX 40 series

    Good news: DLSS5 is coming to RTX 4000 series. There was no good reason to limit to RTX 5000, since both support fp8 tensors natively. Blackwell adds fp4 support, but DLSS5 doesn't use it. fp4 has highly limited precision. Not good enough for all tasks.
