SpaceXAI rolls out Grok Bot AI agent app in beta on Mac, iOS, Windows, and Linux, initially for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium users
SpaceXAI and Cursor are in the process of becoming a single company, but first, the two firms are releasing an all-new iPhone and Mac app called Grok Bot.

Context & Ripple Effects
Grok Bot extends Grok from earlier experiments with a standalone iOS chatbot into a cross-platform agent app. It also follows Grok Build’s early-beta coding and workflow agent, which was initially offered to SuperGrok Heavy subscribers.
The release is the first visible product distribution move since SpaceXAI and Cursor introduced Grok 4.5 as their joint model for long-running tasks. Beta access now spans premium users from both companies as they move toward becoming one company.
First-order effects
- SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers receive the first access to Grok Bot across Mac, iOS, Windows, and Linux, making those plans the initial gateway to the new agent interface.
- SpaceXAI and Cursor turn their model partnership into a shared end-user product, rather than limiting the collaboration to Grok 4.5’s task-oriented model release.
Second-order effects
- Cursor’s premium tiers become a distribution channel for Grok Bot, tying the value of its team plans more directly to SpaceXAI’s agent product.
- The cross-platform app gives Grok Build users a graphical work surface alongside its CLI and agent workflow, broadening how the beta can be used by the same subscription base.
Third-order effects
- If combined access becomes the standard after the companies unite, the product stack points toward AI workspace consolidation: model access, coding tools, and agent execution bundled under shared premium plans.
- Distribution control is likely to become a central competitive lever for the combined company, as eligibility rules determine which paid users receive new agent capabilities first.
The trend: AI vendors are moving agent capabilities from standalone models and command-line tools into cross-platform work surfaces bundled with premium workspace subscriptions.

Introducing Grok Bot, now in early beta. Bots are AI teammates that do real work for you. They sign in to your tools, use them just like you do, and come back with finished work. [video]

I've been testing Grok Bot for a couple of weeks, and I've been surprised by how much I've loved it. Honestly, this feels like it could be the thing that gets millions of normal people using agents for the first time. As many of you know, I haven't always had the best

first impression with grok bot: i gave it a github link and told it to read the code, not only the readme. it pulled every file through the api and broke down the entire codebase. this thing is not just a chatbot [video]

One down... Two to go! Grok bot is not a new concept, but its execution is flawless. It's mind blowing what a good harness, cloud computing, massively advanced computer use, and sota models are capable of. Every day I automate 20% more of my job so I can discover the next

as I'm seeing a lot of excitement about this Grok Bot on my timeline from folks who had early access, I'm giving it a go. The big missing piece is mobile access, as these bots are always on, and @lingxi send me a link to that, so testing. I wish there was a model selector tho

People have gotten burned by the larger labs and later stage startups launching inferior products and promoting them with influencers, so I understand this take. But @bot is not a launch I'd put in the bucket of this meta. It is a damn good product.

New launch meta for labs: * create inferior product * give a bunch of influencer types early access (or $) * they all spam how awesome it is * no one actually uses the product Grok Bot no different. There's at least a handful significantly better products that have been out
