This is misleading. This policy redefines the term “interactive” to mean “using an Anthropic front-end”. If you use ‘claude -p’ or Agent SDK to do something interactively, it now uses credits, not your subscription limits. So the “interactive use” heading saying “unchanged”

Anthropic is trying very, very hard to have maximum price discrimination based on whether or not your code is being run “programmatically” or not. This, not surprisingly, is kind of confusing to programmers.

Wow, this is incredibly disappointing to hear from Anthropic — basically a death sentence for Claude in @conductor_build, which simply wraps Claude Code in a nicer GUI. Not sure how it got lumped in with autonomous agents like OpenClaw.

anthropic just downgraded claude code subs programmatic usage previously used your full rate limits which was something like a 5-10X discount vs api costs now ALL programmatic usage is capped at $20/$100/$200 in api costs (a single opus session can easily burn $20) not good

This is the clarity we've been crying out for. But it's a poisoned chalice. This is a 10X cut to claude -p disguised as a monthly bonus. Anthropic is discouraging any kind of programmatic usage. And that's fine - no subsidy lasts forever. But it's time to try Codex.

I don't love how hard they are trying to spin this as a win. It's a direct downgrade for us. Use the crappy desktop app from Claude? $5k+ in subsidized tokens. Use T3 Code to programmatically call Claude? $200 then you get billed.

I can't help but feel personally burned by the Claude Code changes announced today. We put so much work into wrapping the (atrocious) Claude Agent SDK in T3 Code. It was the ONLY path they supported, so we made it work. It was hell. Now our users are getting their rate limits

How it works: Claim the monthly credit once, and programmatic usage will draw from it automatically. When it runs out, you can keep going with usage credits (billed at API rates you turn on/off). If usage credits are turned off, usage pauses until the credit resets.

Holy crap this feels like a massive blow to anyone that uses claude -p, which is a lot of the tools out there. Fortunately, Solo ( https://soloterm.com/) uses the real Claude CLI, so we're safe.
