Been incredible watching this labor of love from a incredibly talented, kind, and thoughtful human being. He's channeled weeks of feedback into an amazing redesign of the Claude Desktop app!

The redesign also adds an integrated terminal, file editing, HTML and PDF preview, and a faster diff viewer, all in a drag-and-drop layout you can arrange to your preference. Your CLI plugins work exactly as they do on the command line.

We've redesigned Claude Code on desktop. You can now run multiple Claude sessions side by side from one window, with a new sidebar to manage them all. [video]

Today we're launching a rebuilt version of Claude Code on desktop. The app has been redesigned for the ground up to make it easier than ever to parallelize work with Claude. I haven't opened an IDE or terminal in weeks. Excited for you all to give it a shot! [video]

I just made a post about how crazy it is that Anthropic had launched multiple features in the past 24 hours but here we go again... Claude Code on desktop just got a pretty serious upgrade. >Run multiple Claude sessions at once >New sidebar for managing sessions Terminal, file [v…

Claude Code is redesigning the IDE for agentic coding. As Andrej said: “We're going to need a bigger IDE. The basic unit is not a file, but an agent.” Cursor now has to fight to define that future of IDE too.

Today is a big day! We're launching a ~ new ~ version of Claude Code in the desktop app. It's been redesigned from the ground up for parallel work and is a lot faster. It's been my main way to use Claude Code for the last few weeks. [video]

Some of the new features: An integrated terminal, in-app file editing, a rebuilt diff viewer, side chats, SSH connections - and a large amount of little quality of life. Download or update the Claude desktop app to get started: https://claude.com/...

claude now runs autonomously with your computer turned off. 24/7 coding agent. this replaces $10,000's of engineering time and competes directly with Pager Duty's $500M val it works while you sleep. reviews code, builds new features - ready for you to click publish when you [imag…

Now in research preview: routines in Claude Code. Configure a routine once (a prompt, a repo, and your connectors), and it can run on a schedule, from an API call, or in response to an event. Routines run on our web infrastructure, so you don't have to keep your laptop open. [ima…

I love this 👏👏👏 Moving my complex GitHub actions into these routines I think, the best part is they connect with the MCPs I already have set up
  • @eptwts @eptwts on x
there's really no point in building a general use agent bc if you get a little bit of motion the frontier labs are gonna come for your money... brutal tbh
  • @rasmic Micky on x
One thing Anthropic is good at is renaming things Instead of cron jobs... call them routines
  • @tekbog @tekbog on x
cron job but it runs on the unreliable anthropic api [image]

Did Anthropic just kill all SaaS again? What is SaaS besides routines running in the cloud?
  • @noahzweben Noah Zweben on x
Claude Code Routines are here! In addition to a schedule, you can now trigger templated agents via GitHub event or API - with our infra & your MCP+repos They've changed how we do docs, backlog maintenance and more internally at Anthropic Get started at https://claude.ai/... [vide…

Trying the Claude desktop app. I shit you not it froze on my first prompt. [image]

New version of Claude Code in the desktop app dropped today with tons of new features and performance improvements. Between Cowork and Code, I've found I don't really need to open other apps (or even my terminal) to do most of my work now.

These guys are just shipping 10x faster than anybody else right now. There seems to be a lack of both focus and urgency everywhere else. I don't know why... but it's a bit weird.
  • @kimmonismus @kimmonismus on x
So we are moving now from one Claude update per day to two updates per day? Anyway, looks much better now. Cool update!
