Apple just made one of its largest acquisitions ever - close to -$2bn for an Israeli stealth startup called https://q.ai/ that has invented sci fi tech that can understand what you're saying just by sensing face movements

Congrats to https://q.ai/ on the acquisition by Apple, the second largest in their history. In 2022, Aviad cold emailed out of the blue. He barely even told me what he was up to. But from the very first call it was obvious I had met a force of nature, and a kindred [image]

Congrats to the brilliant https://q.ai/ Ltd team: they've been acquired by @Apple, marking Apple's 2nd largest acquisition ever 🚀 It's been a pleasure to work with Aviad, Yonatan and Avi since we co-led their Seed in 2022 with our friends at Aleph (coinvestors with us

If I understand Q AI correctly, then suddenly the rumors about Apple Home Hun, AI glasses, and a wearable pin, make a lot more sense.  Not everyone wants to talk out loud to their AI all the time. @techmeme.com www.techmeme.com/260129/p35#a...

Apple's latest AI power move? An Israeli startup driving the next generation of speech and audio capabilities. As the global race for AI leadership accelerates, I'm excited to see this technology come to life on my iPhone soon. 🇮🇱🚀 [image]

sent Claude out to do some deep research on this very mysterious company for me and the acquisition makes a ton of sense if wearable AI hardware is gonna be big

$AAPL beefing up the AI conversation tonight with the leak that they've acquired https://q.ai/ (Israeli startup for $2B). This is an AI audio company that goes beyond AirPods. My guess is the tech will be part of the everything from iPhones, to AirPods and new

Apple just acquired Israeli startup qAI for $2B. qAI does “silent speech recognition”. It can read whispers. Apple picked Gemini to power Siri. Hopefully it's finally usable. Add qAI, and we might get a weird future where people whisper to their phones to prompt Claude Code.

The founder started Primesense (I was the first to bring you that, which turned into the 3D sensor in the front of your iPhone). After I interviewed Aviad Maizels, who started that company, Apple bought it. He's a smart dude who sees the world in 3D. This is an important

I use speech to text on headsets more than any other device. But it's awkward to do around others. The fix: Apple acquired https://q.ai/, a startup whose technology can analyze facial micro-movements to interpret “silent speech,” in a deal valued at close to $2 billion

$AAPL is acquiring audio startup QAI in a rare $2B deal. Apple rarely buys at this scale and doing so for an audio company points to physical AI use cases where sound, spatial awareness and real-world interaction actually matter. [image]

.@Apple is acquiring https://q.ai/ in the second-to-largest acquisition they've ever made. Can't say what Q does yet, but we promise it's mind-blowing. Couldn't be prouder Yonatan Wexler, Aviad Maizels & @ABarliya Full story of investment—>acquisition from @eden👇 [video]

my understanding is the tech lets you speak without sound.. you just move your mouth, & the hardware decodes what you're saying from the underlying muscle signals, no actual audio required. this would be perfect for airpods integration. apple acquires a known founder who they [im…
